Touch
Oils, massage, wax, and sensation — everything that begins with a hand.
Before there were devices there were hands. The touch room holds oils, massage pieces, wax, and sensation tools — the slowest room in the Vault, and for many couples the one that matters most.
Sensation is contrast: warm and cool, soft and sharp, expected and not. This room teaches the contrast safely.
Touch, safely
- Patch-test new oils and balms on a small area of skin first — especially anything scented, warming, or tingling.
- Oil and latex do not mix: massage oils degrade latex barriers. Keep oil for skin, and use water-based or silicone lubricant where barriers are involved.
- For wax, only low-temperature, body-safe candles made for skin. Household candles burn far too hot. Test a drop from a height, keep wax away from faces and hair, and keep a damp cloth nearby.
- Temperature pieces in glass or steel warm and cool in water — never the freezer or boiling water — and get tested on a wrist before the scene.
- Sensation tools — wheels, feathers, brushes — are about contrast. Alternate light and firm, and check in often; skin tells the truth quickly.
- Clean sensation tools after use. Porous handles and fabric pieces need extra care, or a barrier.
Curated Picks
This room is being stocked
Picks are added by hand, never by algorithm. When a piece earns its place in this room, it will stand here with the curator's note beside it.
